County Adult Psychiatry Falun and Säter is a clinic divided between two locations, with two care wards at each location, specialized units for LARO and ECT, and an addiction emergency unit in Falun. We are currently seeking a Care Assistant for a temporary position at our psychiatric intensive care ward (Ward 90) in Säter.

At Ward 90, we work in teams where safety, professional treatment, and collaboration are central parts of daily life. We strive to create a considerate, supportive, and secure environment for both patients and colleagues. In 2025, we implemented Meaningful 24-Hour Care (Meningsfull Heldygnsvård) and Safewards, a working method we continue to develop.

As a Care Assistant at Ward 90, you will:

• Participate in ward rounds and medical consultations with patients.
• Perform sample collection.
• Supervise patients.
• Work in the kitchen, including serving meals and other tasks related to kitchen work.

Since we have care wards in both Säter and Falun, patients are occasionally transferred to Falun, meaning staff must drive patients in cars booked via the car pool. Staff also occasionally drive patients for various examinations, such as X-rays.

The work can quickly switch between calmer periods and moments of high tempo, making the job varied and developmental. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening/night shifts and every other weekend.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree from the Health and Social Care program, a YH education in Care Assistant within Psychiatric Care (400 credits), or equivalent relevant education.
• Has a driver's license (manual transmission).
• Is flexible, calm, and confident in your professional role.
• Has experience working in psychiatry.
