Youth Coach in Luleå

Do you want to help create a meaningful leisure time for young people in Luleå? Ung i Luleå offers activities for youth aged 13-20 years. As a youth coach with us, you can work at one of our various youth centers around Luleå's residential areas and districts, the meeting place Navet in central Luleå, our mobile service On the Go, or Night Sports, which is our sports-oriented activity. We are now looking for committed youth coaches who want to make a difference in young people's lives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a youth coach, you will work in an environment where young people are the focus and co-creation is at the center. You will contribute to creating a stimulating and inclusive leisure time for young people, with a particular focus on diversity and norm creativity.

Through a coaching approach, you will help young people develop and take their own initiatives while contributing to a positive and safe environment. The work may also include tasks aimed at young people with disabilities and participating in events such as Pride week or youth-initiated trips and fairs.

The work is mainly scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. However, daytime work may also occur. We wish for you to be able to work at least five shifts a month, with the possibility of more shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • at least a high school diploma. Alternatively, you have work experience that the employer deems relevant to the position
  • good knowledge of Swedish

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • work experience from similar work or other work with youth
  • experience in organizing events
  • knowledge of a language other than Swedish

To succeed and thrive in the role of youth coach, you need to be well-organized, flexible, solution-oriented, and have good collaboration skills.
