The Sámi School Board is a government authority and has its office with the school principal, controllers, HR, and administrators in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sámi school is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing education from preschool to grade 6. The teaching is based on Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipality. The Sámi School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool assistant, you will actively and responsibly participate in planning, implementation, and reflection in collaboration with the work team as well as individually. Documentation and evaluation are included in accordance with the preschool's governing documents and from the Sámi perspective, both individually and in the work team. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the preschool. You will also participate in other work at the preschool and in the children's group together with staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified preschool assistant. You must be proficient in Sámi both verbally and in writing and have knowledge of Sámi culture. Applicants must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment.
