Gottsunda Healthcare Center

Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own healthcare centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us as we tailor our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Welcome to become our physiotherapist colleague at Gottsunda Healthcare Center!

One of our employees is studying to become a doctor, which is why we are now offering a full-time temporary position for one year with immediate start, with good opportunities for extension.

Region Uppsala and Close Care and Health invest in secure employment and good benefits that make a difference, read about them here (benefits (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%E4rwebben/F%F6rm%E5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf)).

Your mission

Your tasks include primary assessment, treatment, and follow-up of both young, adults, and elderly patients with symptoms, diseases, and injuries in the musculoskeletal system, central and peripheral nervous system, as well as psychosomatics. This will partly occur within the framework of the clinical processes defined by primary care, which we actively work according to. You will receive patients both by phone and in the clinic, and also help to staff our minor emergency care.

As a physiotherapist with us, you will be part of a well-established team with four colleagues. Your future colleagues have a broad experience together, including training in OMT (level 1 and level 3), psychosomatics, women's health, sports medicine, acupuncture, and pain management. You will have independent responsibility for assessment and treatment at both individual and group levels, where the choice of actions should be based on available evidence and existing guidelines. It is therefore important that you can work independently but also take responsibility for consulting colleagues within the profession as well as interdisciplinary.

Your competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. Personal qualities we seek in our new employee are flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude towards interdisciplinary work.

We believe that you enjoy challenges and are driven to find smart ways to work together in the group and with other colleagues at the healthcare center to provide more patients with better access to assessment and treatment, either through digital meetings or on-site in our facilities. You are happy to share your knowledge with your colleagues, both within and outside the profession. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Our operations

Gottsunda Healthcare Center is located in bright, beautiful premises in Gottsunda Center, in the southwestern part of Uppsala. We have about 13,000 registered patients and approximately 70 employees. Our operations are broad, and all professional areas within the healthcare center's mission are represented. Many of our patients come from other countries and cultures, which we believe makes working with us particularly varied and interesting.

From January 2026, Gottsunda Healthcare Center will be one of Region Uppsala's four new pilot healthcare centers that, with the help of government funds, aim to achieve the goal of 1100 residents per full-time district doctor. This will create opportunities to develop the primary care mission regarding both increased accessibility and new working methods. For you as a physiotherapist, this means that you can be involved in shaping new assignments and collaborations with doctors and other professionals at the healthcare center.

The healthcare center belongs to the management of Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala. We want you to thrive and develop with us. Therefore, we offer you good development and career opportunities in a stimulating environment. Our healthcare centers are located throughout the county. We work with the patient, in teams at the healthcare center, and collaborate with colleagues at different levels of care – together for your health.
