Our Operations

At AVA, we care for patients who primarily have an internal medicine diagnosis. We have 30 beds distributed across 5 teams. Patients come to us after an initial assessment in the emergency department, or after care in the intensive care unit or intermediate care unit. The length of stay is short, which means a high turnover of patients that must be planned and coordinated. Patients have complex medical conditions, often with multiple diseases simultaneously.

Our patients are treated and monitored for about five days. We treat patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, infections, diabetes, pulmonary embolisms, and venous thrombosis. It is a varied job where you constantly meet new patients with different types of conditions, and the pace of work is variable. Your Mission

As a nursing assistant, you will be responsible for the basic care of AVA's patients and work in a team with nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and dietitians.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a few years of clinical experience working on a ward, preferably with a focus on emergency care. You have good experience documenting in the Cosmic journal system. You value your role as a nursing assistant highly and have the patient at the center.

Your Competence

As a person, we want you to have a flexible approach, good collaboration skills, and find high patient flows to be an exciting and fun challenge. You dare to take initiative, are driven, want to develop in your professional role, and work in a team. You are meticulous, empathetic, and enjoy close patient care. You focus on the patient, are responsible, and motivated in your work. You can plan and lead the basic care for our patients. You may have a special interest in nutrition, wounds, palliative care, etc.

We Offer

We offer a 6-month temporary position at 100% with the possibility of extension. A probationary period may be relevant in consultation with the applicant. Start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend. Night work is not a requirement.
