About the role of Sous Chef at Falkenberg Strandbad (Sandy’s Grill)As Sous Chef, you will be a key person in the kitchen and the right hand of the head chef. You will primarily be responsible for the operation and quality of Sandy’s Grill but are also expected to assist in our other restaurants in the house as needed. You will work closely with the head chef to ensure that our guests have fantastic dining experiences every day and have the opportunity to develop in an environment where quality, innovation, and teamwork are at the center.
Responsibilities – Sous Chef Sandy’s GrillLead and inspire the kitchen team as the right hand of the head chef, focusing on Sandy’s Grill
Ensure the highest quality in food preparation during service
Plan and prepare menus based on the season, guest requests, and creative development in collaboration with the head chef
Be responsible for daily operations and distribute tasks in the kitchen; contribute as needed in other restaurants in the house
Ensure that hygiene and food safety always meet our and the authorities' requirements
Optimize costs, raw materials, and reduce waste
Create memorable dining experiences for our guests together with the kitchen and service staff
Relevant education in restaurant/kitchen
Experience in a leading position in the kitchen, preferably as sous chef, head chef, or similar
Documented experience from à la carte, buffet, and larger events
Good knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and waste optimization
Ability to work structured and independently as well as in a team
Communicates fluently in Swedish and English
Passionate about developing both yourself and your colleagues
