Do you want to help develop the production facilities of the future? As a calculation engineer at our client in Karlskrona, you will play a key role in a cross-functional team where you follow projects all the way from idea to finished equipment. About the role

In the role of calculation engineer, you will work closely with mechanical designers and project managers to verify and optimize the strength of complex structures. You will contribute with expert knowledge to ensure that investments and improvements in the production facility maintain the highest quality and comply with applicable standards.

Your main responsibilities:

• Strength calculations: Conduct advanced calculations of mechanical structures.
• Simulations: Work with finite element method (FEM) and specialized simulations for cable management.
• Verification: Ensure that structures meet requirements according to Eurocode and other relevant guidelines.
• Project support: Plan and streamline calculation assignments and provide technical support to colleagues in project management and production technology.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent with a focus on calculations.
• Experience: Previous experience in mechanical design and calculation work according to Eurocode.
• Language: Fluent Swedish and English in both spoken and written form is required for the role.

Desirable competencies:

• Experience with software such as Ansys, SolidWorks, and Windchill.
• Knowledge of machine safety, AFS, and CE marking.
• Experience in cable manufacturing or cable management simulations.

Practical information

• Location: Karlskrona (100% on-site).
• Period: 2026-02-02 to 2027-11-01 (approximately 9 months initially, with the possibility of extension).
• Scope: Full-time.
• Security: A drug test will be conducted before the start of the assignment. SSG Entré training is required for access.
• Equipment: The consultant is expected to be equipped with a mobile phone and protective equipment (steel-toed shoes and safety vest).
