About the position

At Perido, we are looking for a design manager for our client, a large and well-known developer. The position is based in Karlskrona and the work is on-site.

Your responsibilities

The assignment involves leading a new construction project of approximately 7,000 square meters, and in this role, you are responsible for keeping the design together and ensuring that all technical disciplines work towards common goals. You are a key person in the project organization and serve as the link between design and production.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating architects and technical consultants within construction, HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and more
• Ensuring that the design meets the developer's requirements and complies with laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Planning, following up, and managing the design schedule and deliveries
• Coordinating technical solutions with a focus on feasibility, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
• Identifying risks, changes, and deviations and driving these to decision
• Providing technical support to production during the construction phase
• Ensuring that documents are updated and quality assured in case of changes
• You work closely with the project manager and have a clear technical responsibility

With a pragmatic approach, you can balance technical requirements against time and budget. You work proactively, see the big picture without losing details, and have a natural ability to drive issues forward until they are resolved.

Qualifications:

• Technical education in construction, architecture, or equivalent
• Experience in the role of design manager or similar coordinating function
• Background in office buildings or other technically demanding projects
• Good understanding of the various stages of the construction process
• Experience in quality assurance and technical follow-up
• Familiarity with digital working methods and working with 3D models

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment until the end of summer with a chance of extension. Immediate start.
