Do you want to lead some of Sweden's best technicians working with marine systems? If so, you might be the leader we are looking for. Marine Technology operates in various locations across the country, performing renovations and servicing the Swedish Maritime Administration's equipment in lighthouses, boats, and other marine land systems that support shipping. Some of the systems are mission-critical, and the team is therefore on standby for urgent faults. Marine Technology is also responsible for the Swedish Maritime Administration's central warehouse in Norrköping, where there is also a workshop for manufacturing and repairs. In addition, Marine Technology is responsible for property management and janitorial services at the headquarters in Norrköping.

The Leadership Role
Your role as the head of Marine Technology will be to lead the work, support and develop your employees, and together with them develop the operations. You will have personnel responsibility for 29 employees. The leadership role includes responsibility for the work environment, budget, and operations. For daily matters, you will have operational support from three experienced team leaders. You will be part of the management team for the Construction and Technology business area, which is responsible for the management and maintenance of infrastructure in fairways and other technical support systems.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is interested in leading a technical operation and is driven by collaborating with and leading others. To be considered for the position, you need to have current and several years of managerial experience that includes personnel and work environment responsibility for a larger frontline staff. It is advantageous if you have professional experience from fairway environments, have fieldwork experience, and understand the maritime technical conditions. If you have electrical certification, it is a plus as much of the team's work involves actions in various types of electrical systems.

We place great importance on leadership qualities such as your ability to be communicative by both conveying a clear message and actively listening to and considering others' opinions. Therefore, we want you to have a high ability to collaborate with a good ability to build and maintain good relationships.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, can take initiative, and has the ability to lead the operations and your employees for high goal achievement. You need to have a business-minded approach and a drive for improvements and development that can streamline operations. We will place great importance on your personal qualities. For us, it is obvious to prioritize the work environment above all, and we want you to share that perspective.

Since the operations are conducted in several locations in Sweden, regular travel is included in the position, and a B driver's license is therefore a requirement.

The position may require Swedish citizenship. A security review with a background check may be conducted before an employment offer. The position may involve military placement at the Swedish Maritime Administration. Specific tests of leadership qualities may be relevant.
