Workplace

The Social Administration in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health care, and individual and family care. The administration has about 250 employees.

The short-term unit is our municipal primary care department with 16 care places. Here, individuals come for continued training and rehabilitation after hospital stays, but we also offer respite care, security places, waiting places, and palliative care. The assignment is broad and varied, and we always work with a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. On the unit, there is a responsible nurse on site, and we have close cooperation with all licensed staff – something that provides both security and good conditions in daily work.

We are now looking for several nursing assistants and caregivers who want to help develop our operations. Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant or caregiver in our short-term unit, you work closely with our elderly in everyday life – with care, support, and rehabilitation tailored to each person's own resources and conditions. The work is based on assignments according to SoL and HSL, and as a nursing assistant, and largely also as a caregiver, you perform delegated health and medical care tasks. Here you can use all your skills with a focus on what is needed at the moment.

With us, you thrive if you enjoy taking initiative, are flexible, and can easily adapt when the situation requires it. You work independently but never alone – collaboration is an obvious part of everyday life. Together we create a safe and professional care and support environment, where each employee is an important part of the whole.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant or caregiver and who likes to take initiative, is confident in your working method, and can adapt when everyday life quickly changes direction. You contribute with calmness, commitment, and a positive attitude – qualities that are contagious and create security for both the elderly and colleagues. Collaboration is an obvious part of the job, and together we work to provide the best possible care and support.

In our short-term unit, no day is like the other. The assignment is varied and includes both extensive health and medical care efforts and care work. The position suits you who have experience in health and medical care and are curious about working in municipal operations – or you who may be considering returning to us. Extensive experience is not a requirement; we believe in learning from each other and developing together in daily work.
