Care Assistant for the Safe at Home Unit

We are looking for a new employee for our Safe at Home unit. The Safe at Home unit works to provide safe and secure care at home. The unit belongs to the home care department and consists of the discharge team and the alarm group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants an exciting and developing job. In the role of care assistant in the discharge team, you have the opportunity to contribute to increased quality of life for our users. Our work is based on our guiding principles of safety, responsibility, and respectful treatment, and you are a large and important part of the user's well-being. You work carefully and professionally with the users in their home environment, in collaboration with others in the work team. This also means working for good cooperation with other professionals and relatives.

As a care assistant in the Discharge Team, you work to ensure safe and secure care at home for individuals who have been hospitalized and are returning to regular housing based on an activating approach. Users receive assistance from us for a limited time. During this time, we assess the user's future needs for assistance. The goal of the intervention is for the user to become as independent as possible. As a care assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that our users receive social care, health care, and activation. Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the job. This role includes performing delegated health care tasks.

Within the healthcare and social services sector, we work flexibly between different units. Work shifts at other workplaces may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a care assistant with us, you need to have a completed high school education from the health and social care program or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have training as a specialist care assistant or have experience from similar work.

As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, putting the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, users, relatives, and other partners both within and outside your own organization. We believe that we build a better operation through cooperation and development together with others. You find it easy to create relationships and you have a respectful approach.

A prerequisite for you to work with us is that you have a B driver's license. We want to contribute to a sustainable Skövde and care for the environment, so it is important that you can cycle since, where possible, we cycle to our users.

In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish since you and the user need to understand each other, but also to be able to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably also experience with social documentation. Skövde municipality is a Finnish administrative area, if you have knowledge of the Finnish language, it is especially welcome.

Upon employment, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of care assistant became a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title of care assistant within health and social care.
