About Us

Department 61 has 18 beds where we care for and treat patients with surgical diseases in the vessels, upper abdomen, jaw, as well as ear, nose, and throat.

With us, you will work with various specialties in a team with doctors and nurses. We have close collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and hospital dental care among others. We also have a close collaboration with the ear, nose, and throat clinic as well as the vascular clinic.

Working with us, you will learn a lot about the different specialties. We care for patients undergoing thrombolysis treatment due to occlusions in the blood vessels of the extremities, patients who are tracheostomized, as well as patients with issues from the upper gastrointestinal tract. Many of our patients come to the department for both acute and planned pre- and postoperative care. We investigate and care for patients with malignancy, and we provide aftercare for patients who have been at Sahlgrenska for surgery or radiation therapy. Working with us will develop and deepen your knowledge and competence!

Qualifications

Trained nursing assistant. It is important that you have the ability to change pace and prioritize. You also have good collaboration skills, enjoy development, and are comfortable working independently.

The position is a temporary contract until 31/10-26. Interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period.

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services.
