Bläshammar School is located north of central Varberg in a quiet and leafy area. It is a F-6 school organized into grades F-2 and 3-6. The school's after-school program consists of four departments: Havet, Båten, Seglet, and Fyren.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school counselor, you play a central role in student health.

• You work with preventive, promotional, and remedial efforts and contribute with psychosocial expertise in the educational work and within the student health team.
• You provide support to individual students to promote good health and development and contribute knowledge about the support systems in society. At the request of the principal and the student health team, you assess and evaluate the psychosocial situation for students at the school.
• You participate in and develop the preventive and promotional work at the school and are a driving force in the overarching value-based initiatives.
• You consider risk and protective factors for students' health, social situations, and development and collaborate with other entities in the community.

The position may involve assignments at two schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent qualification approved by the employer.

In your professional role, you are accustomed to collaborating with other student health professionals, teachers/pedagogues, and have extensive knowledge of NPF.

You have previous experience as a school counselor, are used to working independently, and are well acquainted with the responsibilities of the school counselor role.
