IT Infrastructure System Expert
The Swedish Customs IT department in Luleå is northern Sweden's largest employer in IT, with approximately 300 employees. Here, you will work with the latest technology and participate in the development of several exciting areas of operation. About the position
As an IT Infrastructure System Expert, you will work within the operations coordination function at the Swedish Customs IT operations and be part of a qualified team responsible for ensuring that the Swedish Customs has a cost-effective and secure infrastructure that is manageable throughout its lifecycle. The work as an IT Infrastructure System Expert includes:
- working with the architectural whole of IT infrastructure,
- daily operational events involving both software and hardware,
- coordinating ongoing work at an overarching level within the IT operations unit,
- independent work with continuous improvements,
- planning and coordinating the setup of new environments together with other functions within the IT department.
- leading IT infrastructure-related assignments/projects may occur to a lesser extent
- managing orders of IT infrastructure/services.
You will work closely with the entire IT operations unit but also collaborate with other parts of the IT department, such as IT development and IT security, in their choice of IT solutions.
The Swedish Customs has a modern infrastructure and aims to be at the forefront. The IT operations unit faces significant challenges and changes to meet the extensive development projects ongoing within the EU and the Swedish Customs.
You will work broadly within all areas of IT operations, i.e., servers, storage, backup, data centers, communication, and middleware.
Are you the one we are looking for?
You should have extensive experience in operating IT infrastructure, which means you should have broad experience of dependencies between computer environments/infrastructure and applications, systems, and services, acquired in the workplace over the last three years.
Expressing yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English is something that feels natural to you. The position requires Swedish citizenship.
It is also advantageous if you have post-secondary education in IT or experience in operating any of the following:
- Experience in leadership roles such as project manager, assignment leader.
- Networking and network security.
- Server OS (Linux, Windows).
- Storage and/or backup.
- Virtualization.
- Databases.
- Queue management.
- Application server.
- IT security.
- Security protection.
- Agile work processes and tools.
- DevOps.
