Tullverket is looking for a BI Developer

Tullverket is an authority with substantial data resources and ambitions to utilize them more effectively to strengthen our mission to create a safe and secure society. A significant part of the change work is conducted within the cross-agency development area of Data and Analysis, which includes the delivery areas of Data, BI, and AI.

About the position

In the role of an experienced BI Developer, you will work to collect, transform, process, and analyze large data sets to enable data-driven decisions that support Tullverket's socially important mission. We support the entire operations of Tullverket, which means you will work with many different types of requests and data sets. As a BI Developer within the Data and Analysis area, you will be a key person in one of our agile delivery teams focused on Tullverket's solutions for Business Intelligence.

You will

• play a central role in designing, developing, and visualizing data models and flows for reporting and analysis solutions
• work closely with data analysts, data engineers, BI developers, and architects to define the needs for appropriate solutions
• meet the operational needs in the form of clear and meaningful visualizations that follow our design principles
• contribute with innovation and new thinking by monitoring the industry and adopting what is happening
• be part of a cross-functional delivery team where you have great opportunities to influence and shape our working methods in the ongoing work with continuous improvements.

To thrive in this role, you need to be genuinely interested in the BI and data area, have an understanding of the possibilities of business intelligence, and a desire to contribute to creating business value. Tullverket's BI solution is currently on-prem and utilizes Microsoft's products for the area.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university or college degree with an IT focus or relevant experience that we can assess as equivalent
• at least three years of relevant experience in designing, modeling, developing, and managing BI solutions
• very good knowledge of SQL
• the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English
• the opportunity to work from our office in Luleå
• Swedish citizenship.

It is meritorious if you have work experience in:

• Microsoft's tools and products within Business Intelligence (on-prem)
• Power BI
• DAX
• testing work and quality assurance processes
• transforming business needs into technical solutions
• suggesting and implementing improvements in data and analysis processes
• collaboration with various roles such as analysts, data engineers, architects, and developers
• agile working methods
• working with IT support within public operations
