About the position

With us, you will have a varied job with opportunities for education and development within your professional role as a nurse. Here you will encounter an exciting care process in a changing environment, which is a challenge. Our work is based on the patient's needs, where the care is tailored individually and characterized by a professional approach.

We want our staff to do what they do best - advanced surgical care for patients! Therefore, we have care-related service personnel who handle cleaning, inventory management, patient kitchen, and more. This approach frees up time for nurses and nursing assistants, which is instead used for patients.

We are looking for nurses for day/evening and weekend shifts. The onboarding is tailored to the individual, and the feeling of security is something we consider important for you as a new nurse in our department.

About us

The care departments 2B/C are a joint department with a staff group, a department manager, and an assistant department manager. The department is divided into three teams: ÖGI (upper gastro), NGI (lower gastro), and KAVA (surgical emergency care department). We apply pair care and staff each team with a pair, a nurse and a nursing assistant. There is also a resource during the day and evening.

Between 07:00 and 15:30, a nursing assistant has a coordinating function that mainly receives all incoming phone calls, distributes incoming patient flow as inpatients are discharged and leave the department. Books all transports and has contact with the municipality, surgery, emergency, and care placement coordinator to optimize patient flow.

Patients come to us from different places depending on the reason for admission, which can be planned or acute. Mostly from Postop after surgery or the emergency department, but not infrequently from another hospital after treatment or from a nearby department, as we collaborate regarding care load. It also happens that the patient has been to an outpatient visit and is then to be admitted to the department.

Currently, there are 21 care places, and the hope is to soon be able to open more as there is a need. The care load is continuously assessed, and the care team is strengthened as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse.

Cooperation skills, attention to detail, engagement, and flexibility are seen as good qualities. A professional and humble approach and good reception are highly valued. We are looking for you who want to engage in active work under development for modern healthcare. We place great importance on personal suitability.
