Junior Strategic Buyer

About the Position

We are looking for several junior strategic buyers for four units within the Marine and Aviation Systems department. The department is responsible for equipment that is crucial for Sweden's air and naval defense. Here, your skills are translated into concrete defense capabilities – with results that are visible in the air and at sea.

In the aviation area, you will work with:

• JAS 39 Gripen and associated weapon systems, helicopters, and aircraft
• Unmanned systems (UAV) and space systems
• Aviation base and flight safety equipment, such as rescue vehicles, fuel systems, and parachutes

In the marine area, you will work with:

• Boats, surface vessels, and submarines with associated weapon and command systems
• Diving equipment and common marine equipment such as life rafts

In your role as a junior strategic buyer, you will conduct strategic and operational procurements and participate in the development of business models and procurement strategies. You will work with negotiations, contracts, and contract follow-up, and contribute to ensuring that the deals maintain high quality from an economic, legal, and strategic perspective. The work is carried out in project form together with project managers, technical specialists, and in close collaboration with leading industry partners.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel may occur in the role. About You

We are looking for someone who is a business economist, civil engineer, has a law degree, or has an equivalent academic degree that we consider comparable. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You are at the beginning of your career, and it is advantageous if you have worked for a few years in purchasing, procurement, or a related field. It is also advantageous if you have other relevant experience, either from work or from other engagements.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who collaborates well and enjoys working in teams, is structured, and has a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You are curious, responsible, and want to develop in your role. In addition, you have good analytical skills and an interest in complex issues.
