Are you passionate about data analysis and want to contribute to the development of Sweden's largest airports? Then the role of analyst at Swedavia might be for you.
As an analyst at Swedavia, you will play a central role in the development of Sweden's ten airports, from operational capacity to long-term investments and renovations. You will be part of the Data-Driven Development department, which is responsible for forecasts, decision support, and Swedavia's central Business Intelligence function. The department works to optimize investments and asset management based on current and future demand.
We are in a development phase where advanced analysis, forecasting models, and AI are becoming increasingly important parts of decision support.
About the role In this role, you will work closely with five experienced analysts and a capacity developer. Your mission is to support the development of Swedavia's airports by producing analyses and forecasts used in both operational and strategic decisions.
Examples of tasks include modeling future needs for check-in counters, analyzing passenger flows, assessing capacity constraints, and investigating the effects of changes in operations or renovations.
You will follow the analysis all the way, from data transformation and modeling to dialogue with the business and communication of analysis results to decision-makers.
You will primarily work in Power BI, Python, Databricks, and CAST – an industry-specific simulation tool. Since airports are complex and changing systems, you are also expected to contribute to developing new methods, forecasting models, and working methods, including the application and further development of ML and AI-based solutions to support analysis and decision-making.
The role also involves building deep domain knowledge in airport operations and capacity development over time, in close collaboration with the business.
Your profile We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, who thrives in collaboration and is comfortable explaining complex relationships in a pedagogical manner. You have experience working in a professional analysis or operational environment, are structured, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the data.
We see that you have:
A Master's degree in engineering or another relevant academic qualification
The ability to process, transform, model, and create insights from large datasets
Good understanding of forecasting and model development as well as automation
The ability to visualize and communicate analysis results in an accessible way
Interest in combining ML and AI applications with business logic and domain knowledge
Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Basic knowledge of English in speech and writing
Experience with the following is a plus:
Databricks
SQL
Python
Power BI
developing or using AI agents and AI assistants
What we offer At Swedavia, you will find a stimulating and developing work environment with a fast pace and a good collaborative climate. We place great importance on job satisfaction and community, and strive for you to feel seen, develop in your role, and contribute to our common journey towards the airports of the future.
