In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercise within the areas of social services. We are now looking for a family home secretary who wants to work with family homes for the placement of children, contact families, and contact persons. The assistance unit has an operation with two unit managers, one for the group of children and youth and one for the adult group, and there is also a coordinator within each group. To support us, we also have an open care team that works on behalf of social workers through assistance decisions.

Your Responsibilities

The tasks consist of recruiting and investigating family homes, emergency homes, contact families, and contact persons. The position also includes educating and supervising contractors and, together with the social worker, contributing to ensuring that children placed in emergency homes and family homes receive the care they need. Work within the area of family law may occur. The work involves collaboration with other colleagues within our operation as well as internal and external collaboration. The position includes on-call duties.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another relevant higher education degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should be able to independently handle cases and have good knowledge of applicable legislation. You have good social skills and find it easy to collaborate, while also being able to work independently. You have a good empathetic ability and communicate well with clients, relatives, and colleagues.

Since documentation and communication are a central part of the assignment, it is a requirement that you have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You actively contribute to developing our work methods and work with commitment, drive, and responsibility. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

A valid driving license (B) is required.
