This is what the job is about

In the role of purchaser, you will primarily work with VA SYD's direct procurements and renewed competitive tenders concerning goods and services.

Responsibilities and tasks included in the role are to:

• support the organization in the implementation of direct procurements
• independently carry out direct procurements, renewed competitive tenders, and simpler types of advertised procurements
• actively further develop effective work processes, methods, and templates for direct procurements and renewed competitive tenders
• provide support and advice to the organization in procurement and contract matters based on strategies, policies, and applicable legislation
• assist the organization in the implementation and follow-up of contracts
• conduct spot checks to follow up on the organization's needs
• perform spend analyses as support to the organization in general and the procurement unit in particular

The procurement unit is part of the finance department and is responsible for ensuring that VA SYD conducts business-like procurements that result in effective and useful contracts. The unit is in an exciting phase of development, where an improvement process is underway with the goal of achieving a more strategic purchasing operation. In close collaboration with the organization, the procurement unit procures contracts for goods and services, consultants, as well as construction and building contracts.

Your experiences

We are looking for you who have:

• post-secondary education in purchasing or public procurement alternatively technology, economics, law (or equivalent)
• good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• good knowledge of the MS Office package, especially Excel
• experience in public procurement according to LUF or LOU is an advantage

A B driver's license is not a requirement but facilitates when you need to get to our facilities.
