Support Assistant at Grandengatan 2

Your Role

As a support assistant, you will work to support and help individuals based on their individual needs and action plans. With knowledge of physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities, you contribute to structure, safety, and continuity in daily life.

The work includes care and daily support based on individual needs. You will work with a conscious and professional approach, contributing to a stable and functional everyday life for the residents.

Your tasks will include support with personal hygiene and showering, serving meals, and participating in shared meals and activities such as breakfast and snacks. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.

The position involves work during the day, evening, and weekends. Awake night shifts occur but will be introduced only after you have gotten to know the organization and the residents. Night work is done independently, with support from colleagues in the house. The work includes approximately three out of eight weekends.

Your Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and preferably has experience in care work. You are confident in working based on the individual's needs and action plans and have knowledge and understanding of disabilities and how they can affect an individual's daily life.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and can communicate clearly and document in your work. A passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 is a requirement, as well as the physical ability to perform the tasks included in the assignment.

In your work, you have a health-promoting approach and see the individual's resources and abilities. You have an interest in pedagogical work and can adapt your response based on different needs and situations. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, or mental health issues is an advantage, as is experience with low-affect approaches. You are calm, responsible, and have a professional demeanor and enjoy working both independently and with others.

Your New Workplace

Grandengatan 2 is a smaller round-the-clock operation with six residents. The organization is characterized by calmness, structure, and community, focusing on care and a safe, predictable everyday life.

Daily life includes many shared activities, such as meals and activities. The food consists of ready-made meal boxes that are served, and the staff supports shared routines around breakfast and snacks.

The workgroup consists of about ten employees. The collaboration in the workgroup is close and based on shared responsibility and continuity.
