About Us

The Technical Service Administration is Trelleborg Municipality's enabling administration. We are a safe, secure, and value-creating resource that works proactively, efficiently, and sustainably together with those who live, work, and visit Trelleborg Municipality. The administration's five departments have overall responsibility in various areas for planning, managing, and developing public spaces. We do this, for example, by maintaining the municipality's public places, waste management, sewage management, water supply, and infrastructure. We also deliver internal services such as operation and maintenance of municipal facilities, cleaning, system management, and IT support.

The Workplace

The Urban Environment Department is a department within the Technical Service Administration responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets and squares, other public places, traffic safety issues, market squares, parking supervision, the municipality's small boat harbors, contributions to private roads, and the municipality's street lighting.

Furthermore, the department is responsible for the maintenance, management, and new establishment of park land, municipal property, playgrounds, and equipment in the green environment, as well as the maintenance and supervision of the municipality's natural areas. Within the Urban Environment Department, there is also responsibility for technical design in the development of the municipality, as well as planning and implementation of projects that fall within the Technical Service Administration. Within the Urban Environment Department, we work to maintain good service towards residents, businesses, and visitors in the municipality.

In the Operations and Maintenance Unit, we are looking for seasonal staff for the maintenance of outdoor environments around our municipal properties such as schools, preschools, and nursing homes, as well as other public spaces such as squares, parks, and natural areas. We are looking for about 8-10 people to strengthen the need during the summer season.

Job Responsibilities

For the position of maintenance worker, we are looking for someone with experience working in outdoor maintenance, as well as a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle. The position requires that you have good physical condition and can handle physically demanding work, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as we communicate with colleagues and citizens in our daily work, and read instructions and routines at the workplace, etc.

It is advantageous if you have relevant education for the profession, for example, in green area maintenance and landscaping, as well as experience operating larger lawn mowers in public outdoor environments and/or other common construction machinery. It is also advantageous if you have professional experience in construction work, working on roads, and have knowledge of plants and machinery, such as lifts, brush cutters, and chainsaws.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, you are flexible and easily adapt to varying tasks. You have good collaboration skills and work well both independently and in a team. You also have the ability to see what needs to be done and take your own initiatives. You act responsibly, are meticulous, and perform your work in a service-oriented manner with a focus on the unit's mission and being a good ambassador for Trelleborg Municipality. In your work, you will receive support from both the section manager and colleagues at the workplace.

Working Hours/Duration

8-10 fixed-term positions (seasonal work), full-time, April-September 2026.
