Your Mission

Nacka Senior Center consists of four elderly care homes that together represent the municipal alternative for elderly care within Nacka Municipality. Our senior centers are located in Saltsjöbaden, Finntorp, Björknäs, and Ektorp. Learn more about us here (#). Each senior center also has day activities and a fully equipped large kitchen. One of the facilities has a restaurant open to external guests.

As a Chef with Kitchen Responsibility, you play a vital role in meaningful work that contributes to creating quality and comfort in the daily lives of our elderly residents. All food is prepared from scratch in the senior center's own kitchen together with chefs and kitchen assistants, with staffing adjusted according to the size of the operation. The focus is on preparing good, nutritious, and well-cooked traditional dishes based on our customers' needs and preferences. Theme weeks are regularly conducted where holidays and other celebrations are highlighted through specially selected menus.

We actively work with individual adaptations to offer our customers high quality and service. Therefore, it is important that you have good knowledge of special diets, including allergies and other dietary adjustments. As a chef, you have overall responsibility for production, quality, and safety in the meals served at the elderly care home.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• At least a high school culinary education
• At least 5 years of experience in large kitchens with traditional cuisine
• Experience in a supervisory role in the kitchen
• Training in self-control, HACCP
• Good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is advantageous if you also have:

• A valid driver's license (B)
• Training in special diets (allergies, dietary adjustments)
• Experience with digital systems
• Experience with nutrition data programs
