Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to be employed at AFRY and work primarily with our clients in the defense industry.

The need for knowledge in electronics is growing, and we need to expand our team. 

Our clients are global players in high-tech defense and security operations, active in air, land, and naval defense, civil security, and commercial aviation. They provide effective solutions for monitoring, security, and decision support, as well as for the detection and protection against threats. Technically, they are leaders in many areas and develop products and systems to deliver military capability, protect national security, and maintain critical information and infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, it is important to be able to work in a structured manner and follow formal processes, as the development is often security-critical. You will play a crucial role in the development of the client's future products.  In this role, you will also be involved in other parts of the development process, such as system work, requirements management, testing, and delivery.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas: 
- Electronics design
- PCB layout
- Embedded design
- ASIC / FPGA design

In addition to an academic education, we expect you to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of Swedish. For this position, you need to hold Swedish citizenship and reside in Sweden.

Depending on the role you have experience in, we expect you to have knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Digital design, but also analog design and RF are of interest, as well as tools like Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
- IP design and verification.
- Signal and power integrity, simulations, EMC, and preferably tools like ADS, SIwave, HFSS, Hyperlynx.
- HW-near programming.
- Requirements management or system engineering.
- Wireless communication, high-speed links, or similar.
- Troubleshooting, board bring-up, lab work.

Of course, we also place great importance on your personal qualities. As a consultant, it is important that you work independently and are used to taking your own initiatives. Since many assignments involve collaboration with both clients and colleagues, you should also have good social skills and enjoy working in a team.
