The surgical and gastroenterology department at Skåne University Hospital includes surgical and gastroenterological operations in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical operations in Landskrona. We provide specialized and highly specialized care.

The colorectal surgical ward in Malmö is an elective department that cares for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the intestines. The department has 20 beds, and we work in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and the rehabilitation group. We are currently moving into new premises at the New Hospital area in Malmö.

We strive to work evidence-based and with person-centered care. The staff actively participates in various groups to develop and drive the operations forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a person who enjoys taking on significant responsibility? Then you should apply to us at the colorectal surgical ward!

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone colorectal surgery. An important part of the treatment consists of stoma care and stoma training. With us, patients receive advanced pain relief after surgery, which means we must monitor vital parameters such as pulse, blood pressure, saturation, temperature, and sensory control. These are important tasks that we want you to have a strong interest in. The ERACS standard care plan is applied for safe and good care of our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.

We would prefer that you have previous work experience in surgical operations. Experience from inpatient care is an advantage.

You are a person who shares your knowledge and shows great commitment to your work. Your work is characterized by a high sense of responsibility and flexibility. Personal suitability is highly valued.
