Department 53 is an acute surgical department belonging to general surgery/urology. The department is part of the surgical clinic, which consists of three departments as well as two outpatient clinics and day activities. We are currently on an exciting development journey with the goal of continuing to grow. In the coming years, we will recruit more staff to meet the region's development needs.

We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. You should have completed the emergency care course (200 credits) or according to the new curriculum in health and medical care 1 and 2. Experience in surgical care or emergency care is an advantage.
We will place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, can take your own initiatives, and appreciate the occasionally high pace. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, enjoy working in a team, and contribute to good care with the patient in focus.
What you will work with
As a nursing assistant in department 53 – acute surgery, you will be responsible for the basic nursing tasks around the patients. The tasks include, in addition to basic patient care, qualified tasks such as drain management, wound care, as well as sampling, patient education, risk assessments, and documentation in the medical record system.
As a nursing assistant in the department, you will have a varied and developing job where you work both independently and in a team. We work with person-centered care and interdisciplinary collaborations.
You will work together with nurses, doctors in the emergency team, and other professionals such as physiotherapists.

Information about the position
We offer you a permanent full-time position. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekend shifts. Start date according to agreement.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
