As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting everyday life where your task is to enhance our customers' safety and promote a safer environment.

A patrolling security guard works with preventive security. You will be mobile and visit customers in your district/area to check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the premises/area. Patrolling security is performed both indoors and outdoors, often at night, and you will work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.

In stationary security, you will work at the customer's location. This can involve everything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security control centers.

The customer gives us great trust, and your work as a security guard is important. You contribute every shift to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all residents of the community, and it is important that you are clear, calm, and can make thoughtful decisions.

As an on-call security guard, you will have the chance to try many different aspects of the profession. This can involve everything from patrolling security and stationary duties to alarm responses and service assignments. You will become an important part of the team and have the opportunity to work in various locations and times – perfect for those who want flexibility while building experience in a socially important profession.

An on-call employment means that you work when the need arises – for example, during sick leave, vacations, or temporary assignments. It is an excellent way to enter the industry, learn a lot, and gain broad competence. Many who start as on-call employees move on to permanent positions.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Driver's license B

You must also be unpunished*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and possess good health and physical fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Committee. Participation in this training is a prerequisite for employment.
