The short-term unit is located on the 5th floor of the Älvgården building. The operation has 19 places that are assessed for assistance. The decisions concern relief, respite care, further investigations, or waiting for special housing. This also means that the variation in both moving in and out usually varies faster than other municipal operations. Job Responsibilities

The short-term unit is a varied workplace, and as a nursing assistant, you get the chance to utilize your skills in different ways as you work based on the individual's assistance decision to implement the measures. The job responsibilities include being able to collaborate with users, relatives, staff, and other professionals such as nurses and rehabilitation staff. We see opportunities for you to take responsibility for several delegated tasks from the relevant profession. In addition to medication delegation, this may involve wound dressings, catheterization, sampling, tube feeding, bandaging, and much more. The role of the nursing assistant includes documentation, creating implementation plans, advocacy roles, and being a contact person.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a three-year nursing education, nursing assistant training, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We are looking for someone who has experience working in care and nursing, has an easy time collaborating, is responsible, and independent. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in the Swedish language. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish.
