In November 2019, Sabis opened a new restaurant in Ulriksdal, in PEAB's newly built headquarters. The restaurant is also open to the public with up to approximately 300 guests per day and an accompanying café. We also manage the house's FM services such as; reception, maintenance, and PEAB's internal conference facilities.About the role
As a head chef at Sabis Ulriksdal, Peab, you will have a central and operational role where you are responsible for the daily operations of both the kitchen and café. You work actively in production and daily operations, are involved in cooking, and lead the work on-site while driving sales, developing the offerings, and ensuring high quality and presentation in every serving. The role entails overall responsibility for planning, menu writing, and orders related to the kitchen and café, as well as responsibility for inventory, budget, scheduling, time reporting, and monthly closing.
You lead the kitchen team by being present and active in the daily work and have personnel responsibility for the kitchen and dishwashing in close collaboration with the site manager. The organization currently consists of a smaller and close-knit team with a chef, cold food preparer, dish staff, kitchen assistant, as well as staff in the restaurant, café, and reception. You are responsible for ensuring that routines according to HACCP are followed and that working methods, structure, and quality maintain a high and even level.
The role requires close collaboration with other staff at the unit and a joint planning of everyday life to create a well-functioning flow and a pleasant working environment. The restaurant is open to the public but largely serves guests from Peab, which provides a stable foundation but also opportunities to develop the offering. Working hours are primarily during weekdays in the daytime, with some flexibility for larger events and orders when evening and weekend work may occur. The position starts in February 2025 or by agreement.
Your profile
You have worked as a chef for at least five years and have experience leading a smaller group, either as a head chef, sous chef, or in another leading role in the kitchen. You inspire by being present, work together with your team, and are motivated to develop both people and dining experiences. Even if you do not hold the title of head chef today, you may be an eager sous chef or an experienced chef with high ambitions and a clear drive to take the next step.
As a person, you are cheerful, positive, and solution-oriented with the ability to see opportunities even when circumstances change. You enjoy being involved in daily operations, are structured and meticulous in your work approach, and can easily adapt to rapid changes. You dare to take responsibility, can speak up when needed, and lead your team with clarity, engagement, and respect. Above all, you love cooking, are curious and creative, and have a strong desire to develop the kitchen, offerings, and guest experience together with your team.We offer you
