The Stroke and Rehabilitation Department belongs to the Primary Care Area North and is one of three medical departments at Örnsköldsvik Hospital.

The department focuses on stroke and geriatric rehabilitation as well as acute medical care.

We are now looking for nursing assistants/care assistants for summer vacancies on a full-time basis at the Stroke and Rehabilitation Department from 2026-06-08 or by agreement until 2026-08-30.

With us, you will work in a team together with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and dietitians. We offer an introduction and some training when you start with us, and you will gain a broad knowledge of acute medical care.

The job includes the usual care tasks for a nursing assistant, such as:

• Sampling
• Checks
• Wound dressings
• General care
• Participation in patients' planned rehabilitation
• Some documentation is included

You need to be able to work days, evenings, and every other weekend. We place great importance on personal qualities and that you work flexibly and independently in collaboration with patients and colleagues, promoting teamwork and a positive approach.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained nursing assistant, studying to become a doctor/nurse and has completed semester 4, or studying nursing at Umeå University and has completed semester 3
• Masters the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage for the position if you

• Have experience in acute medical care
