Senior Java Developer for the Defense Industry

At ALTEN, we are currently looking for an experienced Java Developer for the defense industry, focusing on aggregation, analysis, and visualization of antenna diagnostics. The role involves broad technical responsibility where you will work with backend development in systems with high demands on quality, security, and reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Java Developer (Backend), you will be responsible for:

• Developing and further developing backend solutions in Java
• Working with aggregation, analysis, and visualization of system and antenna data
• Participating in and driving customer deliveries together with the team
• Managing issues, troubleshooting, and implementing new requirements
• Contributing to the development of a scalable platform product instead of project-specific solutions
• Ensuring high code quality, security, and robustness
• Working according to established development processes with CI/CD and test automation
• Collaborating closely in an agile team, where one of the roles may also include responsibilities as a Scrum Master

You will work closely with both colleagues and other technical areas, with a strong focus on delivery, quality, and functioning holistic solutions.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

• Several years of experience as a Java Developer, preferably in a senior or leading role
• Strong competence in backend development
• Experience with systems that have high demands on quality, security, and reliability
• Familiarity with working with embedded systems and/or backend solutions
• Experience in building and maintaining solutions at an industrial scale
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
• Experience working closely with clients and delivering in project form
• Ability to take technical responsibility and function as a lead developer
• Desirable experience as a Scrum Master
• Good communicative and social skills as well as experience in collaboration
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
