Department M67 is one of our inpatient care departments and focuses on Neuropsychiatry and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Patients treated here may come in for stabilization, observation, but also for treatment of more severe psychiatric conditions, where central parts of the care process lie in strengthening the patient's participation and resources.

We meet patients during a period of life often characterized by crisis, anxiety, and mental illness. Based on a person-centered approach, we create a path forward together with the patient.

We collaborate closely with outpatient care, relatives, social services, and other care providers to create a safe transition between different levels of care.

Care planning is done in consultation with the patient and is based on individual needs and goals. We have daily team rounds and continuously work with risk assessment and patient safety. We use models such as the Bergen model for threats and violence and invest in further education for all staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement psychiatric nursing
• Medication management and follow-up
• Participation in care planning together with the patient and team. Strengthening the patient's resources and contributing to a safe care environment.

You should also be able to lead and distribute the daily work among the nursing assistant group.

The position involves full-time night shifts.

Qualifications

• Have an interest in psychiatric care.
• As a person, you are stable, professional, and enjoy building good relationships. You should have the ability to adapt to changing work situations.

Meritorious

Experience in psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement – the most important thing is your willingness to learn and curiosity about the patient group.
