The County Psychiatric Service consists of units with both open and closed care. We are now looking for summer substitutes for our inpatient departments in Sundsvall for the summer of 2026, for the LARO reception in Sundsvall, and for the psychiatric emergency reception in Sundsvall. The inpatient departments are four in number; one is focused on affective disorders, two are focused on psychotic disorders, and one department is focused on addiction care. The psychiatric emergency reception is open 24/7, where acute psychiatric assessments are made to determine if inpatient care is needed or other measures.

As a nursing assistant/caregiver within the psychiatric clinic, you will have an exciting and varied job where you both work independently and are part of a multiprofessional psychiatric care team with good cohesion. If you are offered a summer substitute position with us, you will undergo a special introduction to prepare you for the assignment. Here you will gain knowledge and practical training regarding various tasks and situations you may encounter. All to ensure that you feel well-prepared and secure with us. With us, you may work day, evening, and night shifts.

The position is a full-time substitute for the summer of 2026, starting according to agreement.

Nursing Assistant/Caregiver for the Psychiatric Clinic, Sundsvall Summer 2026

The work includes standard tasks within the psychiatric inpatient department, the emergency reception, and the LARO reception. Furthermore, as a nursing assistant/caregiver with us, psychiatric care is your area of responsibility and specialty. This includes patient-centered work where a strong interest in people is essential. Your tasks will include guiding and supporting patients in discovering and developing their own resources and managing the symptoms of their illness.

We are looking for someone who

• Has training as a nursing assistant, caregiver, or other education that the employer deems relevant
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

It is advantageous if you

• Have work experience in psychiatry
