Nursing Assistant for Surgery and Orthopedics at Kungälv Hospital

The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

About the Operations

The Surgery and Orthopedics department at Kungälv Hospital includes two wards, an outpatient clinic, a day care unit, and a gynecological clinic. We have about 230 employees. The department handles both acute and planned patients in outpatient and inpatient care within surgery, urology, and orthopedics. A significant part of the operations is of an acute nature, but some of the work also involves caring for patients in the final stages of life.

Qualifications

You who apply should be a trained nursing assistant. Experience from hospital care (previous employment or internship) as well as experience in surgery and/or emergency care is advantageous. If you are a student in the nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program. If you are a medical student, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.

Protected Professional Title for Nursing Assistants

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare.
