Kungälv Hospital is looking for medical students who want to work in patient-centered care during the summer of 2026. About the Job

Working as a medical student in patient-centered care means being involved in planning, decision-making, and execution of care measures throughout the patient's care period in the department.

Examples of tasks are listed below, with variation based on the needs of each department:

• Conversations and care of patients, such as admission interviews and care status
• Care planning and documentation of care work
• Participate in preparing, administering, and giving medications
• Sampling, PVK control, and inserting PVK and catheter
• Participate in rounds
• Contact with relatives
• Care discharge summary

Qualifications

You are a medical student who will have completed at least term 9 by the summer of 2026. Previous experience working as a nursing assistant or caregiver is an advantage.

You have knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form.

You are caring, responsible, and meticulous. You are flexible and can work in an environment with a lot of varying tasks at a fast pace. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

Your job title is medical assistant. Full-time measure is 38.25 hours.

Other

This position involves working days, evenings, and weekends throughout the summer.
