Virum Moose Park is one of Vimmerby's popular tourist attractions where we welcome visitors from all corners of the world. We conduct safari tours in our moose enclosure where our visitors can feed and pet the moose, we have a small animal enclosure and also a popular souvenir shop. Virum is a family business with few employees, so it is very important that everyone in our team pulls in the same direction and helps each other. Our main motto is that the animals come first and their well-being is always our top priority. In all parts of our operations, we work with service towards our animals and visitors as well as towards each other.

This year, we are looking for two new employees who will primarily work as park hosts but who may also be scheduled in the shop on certain days.

As a park host, the majority of your workday will be spent with our moose. You will lead the moose from wagon to wagon, distribute food, and converse with our visitors. The role also includes some forestry work as we help each other with cutting brush for our animals and preparing feed. We use a tractor to drive the wagons into the enclosure and to fetch food, but if you haven't driven one before, you will be trained on-site.

As shop staff, you will work at the cash register selling tickets, souvenirs, and snacks. You will also help prepare for the shop's opening and assist in keeping things organized.

Since most of our customers come from other countries, it is important that you understand and speak English fluently. Speaking German is a plus. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in animals, who enjoys talking to people and likes to work in a team. As we work with somewhat wild animals, it is important that you are an observant person as we constantly need to read the animals' signals. The work as a park host is physically demanding as there will be long distances to walk in the enclosure, so if you want a job with a lot of movement, you have found the right place.

The position involves a lot of personal responsibility, so you must be at least 18 years old to apply.

There are no buses that go out to us, so you need to have a driver's license and access to your own car.

The position is temporary from mid-June to the end of August.
