The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Description

The ambulance service in Kungälv consists of four ambulance stations: Ale, Kungälv, Stenungsund, and Tjörn, as well as a unit for non-emergency patient transport. There are 53 permanent employees working within the ambulance service.

The ambulance service in Alingsås consists of two ambulance stations: Alingsås and Lerum. Approximately 45 permanent employees work within the ambulance service.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the ambulance, you play an active role in planning, executing, and being responsible for the tasks within ambulance care, based on the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Safety Act, and directives from the ambulance chief physician. The nurse in the ambulance should, based on an ethical approach, contribute to good communication, quality patient care, and a positive work environment.

Orientation training starts on 26-05-01.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse; prehospital further education is highly meritorious. A driving license with at least a B category is required, and it is highly meritorious if you have a C/C1 category since we will only have ambulances that require heavier licenses in the future.

Emergency driver training is highly meritorious, as well as good local knowledge of the geographical areas in the ambulance districts. You should have good physical ability as we conduct physical tests. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where flexibility and the ability to work independently are important aspects.

The recruitment process includes checks with IVO, the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Transport Agency, and extracts from the suspicion and criminal records.

Test days for Kungälv are 26-01-21 and 26-02-18. Test days for Alingsås are 26-02-05 and 26-02-20.

Employment Type

This is a fixed-term employment until 2026-08-31 with the possibility of extension.

Work Location
