Medborgarskolan, a non-profit organization with a proud tradition of popular education and culture, is now seeking enthusiastic course leaders with specialized knowledge in wilderness survival and bushcraft.

About the Assignment:

We are looking for you who are a trained wilderness guide or equivalent, available to hold day courses and/or overnight courses in wilderness survival, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, starting no later than the first weekend in May 2025.

We expect you to have knowledge in the following areas:

• Which plants, berries, and mushrooms are edible, and which ones to avoid.
• How to find water and make it drinkable.
• The art of making fire without matches.
• Improvising tools and solutions with what you have available.
• Navigating without technology.
• Knowledge of basic survival techniques such as first aid, signaling, and basic survival psychology.
• Building shelters/camping with what is available.
