Who are we looking for?

We are now looking for a passionate, curious, and enthusiastic head chef who will build, inspire, and lead a team where service spirit and teamwork are at the center. You are an organized and natural leader responsible for the work in the kitchen both operationally and financially as well as in terms of quality.

As head chef, you are responsible for following laws and routines as well as Compass Group's policies, rules, and values. The role includes responsibilities such as self-control, inventory, pre- and post-calculation of all dishes, monitoring set key figures, waste management, and purchasing. You are also responsible for creating sustainable dishes and menus based on trends, seasons, and guests' preferences.

About Restaurant Söderport

The restaurant is located within Volvo's area in Skövde and is part of a cluster together with two other restaurants. The team consists of three colleagues.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

We are facing an exciting renovation, and you will, together with the team, have a significant responsibility for designing the menu and what is served.

Who are you?

• You have an education in hotel and restaurant management with a focus on cooking or equivalent
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a chef or equivalent
• You have at least 2 years of experience with personnel and financial responsibility
• You should have experience working with menu planning systems
• You have very good knowledge of gastronomy, nutrition, kitchen economy, and waste management
• You have analytical skills and are results-oriented
• You have the ability to plan and structure work effectively
• You can lead and delegate work and turn decisions into action
• You are attentive and responsive and have good knowledge of labor law and working environment
• You are creative and solution-oriented
• You recognize your importance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resistant, and have a knack for collaboration and communication
• You take responsibility through your passion to maintain a high level of service and quality in what you deliver
• You enjoy fast-paced days, can take initiative, and are flexible in your professional role
• You speak and write Swedish fluently
• You have good computer skills and knowledge of Office365
