About the Job

We are now looking for an additional nurse to be placed in the Endoscopy Unit where we perform both colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and ERCP.

You will prepare and inform patients before examinations and assist doctors or endoscopists during procedures. You will also be responsible for administering medication as prescribed by a doctor and for any sampling. Your tasks include cleaning the endoscopy room and the endoscopic equipment according to current hygiene regulations.

You will work in a team with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and coordinators with a focus on the patient's perspective and safety. We alternate between assisting and caring for patients to ensure a good working environment. Duties may include working on ward 2BC.

About the Workplace

The Surgical Clinic at Hallands Hospital includes specialties such as breast surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, vascular surgery, and endocrine surgery. The surgical outpatient clinic at Hallands Hospital Varberg represents all specialties as well as an endoscopy clinic and surgical treatment. In Varberg, there are surgical wards focused on elective surgery, palliative care, and emergency surgery, a surgical treatment ward, and a palliative consulting team.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with at least a couple of years of experience in nursing. Experience working in an endoscopy unit is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven and easily adaptable to different situations. We see collaboration skills, commitment, and flexibility as essential qualities. You have a professional and humble attitude and approach, contributing to a good working climate. You also have a strong interest in development and improvement work. We are looking for someone who wants to work purposefully and actively contribute to modern healthcare.
