Workplace Description
Kungsholmen's Primary School is an F-9 school with approximately 1100 students.
Kungsholmen's Primary School includes primary school, adapted primary school (AG), after-school care, and leisure clubs. The work teams are divided into F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and adapted primary school. The school management consists of a principal, assistant principals, and an administrative manager.
For every student, regardless of circumstances, to develop and reach as far as possible in their knowledge development, knowledge, learning, and safety are crucial for success. At Kungsholmen's Primary School, we place great emphasis on safety and student health work. We describe our promoting and preventive measures and routines more concretely in the plan against bullying and in our student health plan.
Job Description
We are looking for a specialized childcare worker for Kungsholmen's adapted primary school. As a specialized childcare worker, you contribute to ensuring that everyday life at school runs smoothly and that care and daily educational work are based on the students' conditions and needs.
You will work with the team to plan students' activities both before and after school hours. You need to consider the students' needs and circumstances in your planning and follow and document their social progression.
You collaborate with class teachers, childcare workers, and teachers in after-school care throughout the school day. You will plan and carry out activities, conduct an adapted operation based on both individual and group needs and circumstances, and actively work with positive interactions and the equal value of all to ensure that everyone feels good when they are in the activities.
Together with your colleagues, you will work towards a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with the homes.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained childcare worker with specialized competence. You have a documented pedagogical education focusing on children with disabilities and students with intellectual disabilities. Extra merit is if you have worked as a childcare worker in an adapted primary school or within LSS.
Planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up on operations based on goals and guidelines is a given for you. You should contribute to creating a meaningful operation, apply flexible working methods, and adapt the learning environment.
We expect you to have high professionalism with a large portion of humor and experience leading small and large student groups with specific needs. You contribute to a developing collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
You are secure and have good self-awareness and adapt your approach depending on the situation. You appreciate working towards goals and focus on continuous improvement of the operation and your own professional practice. You collaborate with students, colleagues, and parents in a responsive and smooth manner, listening, communicating, and handling conflicts constructively. You act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to focus on the right things. You are structured, planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and purposefully with a focus on learning.
Since the role includes written documentation and oral communication, it is a requirement that you express yourself very well both orally and in writing in Swedish.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personality and your specialized competence.
