Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, high school, and adapted primary and high school. We have over 3,200 employees at 45 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four high schools. The Position and Responsibilities

The position is a temporary contract for about 1 year.

You will belong to a team for grades F-3 and become a mentor in one of our second-grade classes. Primarily, you will conduct teaching in your mentor class but may also teach in one or more of the other classes belonging to your team F-3 on occasion.

We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in their leadership. You should have a good ability to build strong relationships with students and parents. You should want to collaborate closely with your colleagues in the team.

You will plan and implement teaching in all theoretical subjects together with our other teachers in the lower grades.

We Offer You

Trädgårdsstad School is a F-9 school located in Tullinge in Botkyrka Municipality. The school was built in 2002 and has approximately 680 students from F-9. We have fresh, modern, and bright facilities. It is built in modules with workrooms in close proximity to classrooms and recreation areas, which provides good conditions for creating strong relationships with students.

Our school has been selected as a training school and thus has a close collaboration with Stockholm University and the practice-based training for teacher students.

Since 2011, we have a one-to-one computer program, which means that all students have access to their own computer.

Who We Are Looking For

Requirements: You are a qualified teacher with valid certification for lower grades. We are looking for someone who is confident and experienced in the teaching profession. You have previous experience teaching in lower grades and preferably experience conducting national tests in grade 3.

Meritorious: It is an advantage if you are qualified in Swedish as a second language. It is also an advantage if you are knowledgeable in various digital systems such as Schoolsoft, Vklass, or Unikum.

We are looking for someone who is structured and collaborative in daily work within the team. You are a confident mentor and colleague who values good relationships and is relationship-building with both students, colleagues, and guardians.
