Mark Workshop Skövde is a department within the Army Staff, and we have about 190 employees. We primarily perform maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment but also for the air force and navy, and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, renovations, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly, modifications, and repair technical analyses. You will belong to one of our teams that work with the renovation of exchange units. You will work closely with mechanics who have similar tasks and be part of a team that collaborates and supports each other. Everyone is equally important, and the work environment encourages cooperation where knowledge is shared and supported.
Responsibilities
In this role, there is great potential for development if you have the right drive and willingness, as we are looking for mechanics in various areas. For example, tasks include the renovation of engines, gearboxes, and exchange components. This means that based on previous experience, but above all, willingness and interest, you will be offered opportunities for both training and experience in the above areas.
Qualifications
- Completed two- or three-year high school, preferably with a focus on vehicles, workshops, or other technical education.
- Driver's license B
- General computer skills

Meritorious
- Experience in workshop operations and material maintenance in the Armed Forces
- Knowledge of combustion engines/gearboxes
- Forklift license
- Experience with measurement technology and blueprint reading
- Experience working with machines, e.g., in agriculture

Employment type: permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period
Employment rate: full-time, daytime
Work location: Skövde
Start date: as soon as possible after agreement
The job also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian position.
