Your new job

Your tasks will include personal care, daily chores such as cleaning and laundry, social activities, medication management, and various responsibilities.

You will place great importance on the integrity of the tenants/citizens and work according to the values that are based on the individual's wishes, needs, and abilities. Your mission is to be a professional practitioner who works to strengthen the individual's abilities and resources so that they experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. You will also actively work with contact person assignments, implementation plans, and social documentation. You will adopt a health-promoting approach that focuses on the strengths and resources of each person.

Your qualifications

We are now looking for a trained care assistant. It is advantageous if you have experience in care and nursing work and work in a dementia unit and/or short-term unit. Furthermore, you have practical knowledge in personal care, home maintenance, and cooking.

Taking initiative, collaborating well with others, and being responsible for your tasks is a given. You should also be attentive and have the ability to understand others' perspectives or situations. Being able to plan and organize your work effectively is also important. We value if you are confident and stable, have self-awareness, and can adapt to different situations. Since the work involves contacts with tenants, relatives, and colleagues, as well as documentation, you should master the Swedish language in speaking, reading, and writing, and be able to absorb and convey information, read and understand written instructions.

Welcome to us! Ädelstenen Elderly Home is located in Råslätt and can be easily reached by bus. The elderly home has 27 apartments distributed over 3 units, all intended for people with dementia. One of the units is designated for short-term care with a focus on dementia. At Ädelstenen, we aim to create a pleasant environment and atmosphere where our residents can maintain a good quality of life. We care about each other and our work environment, we have good cooperation, and of course, the well-being of our residents is always in focus.

Good to know

Within Jönköping Municipality, we offer equal pay for care assistant positions regardless of which elderly home you work at. This means that the salary is not affected by the choice of workplace. All our elderly homes have comparable working hours, and we follow applicable legislation, including rules on rest periods and weekend work.

We are now recruiting a care assistant with a focus on dementia, full-time with immediate start or as agreed. Work in the short-term unit will also occur. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, and you will work every other weekend. Jönköping operates with full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment.

You will work irregular hours with every other weekend, and you need to be flexible in the scheduling as it adapts to the needs of the operation. Resource shifts may involve working in all units of the operation.

In your application, we would like a personal letter, a CV, and attached diploma and work certificates/references. All your employment must be verifiable, and it should be clear what extent you have worked, what type of employment has been relevant, and what position you have held. We would appreciate it if you attach relevant certificates/degrees that show that you are a trained care assistant and have applied for a protected professional title. Selection and interviews are ongoing.
