Do you want a varied role where you work practically, solve problems, and create safety and comfort for both guests and colleagues? As a Caretaker at First Camp, you help create a safe, well-maintained, and pleasant environment at the destination. You work both independently and in a team – with everything from ongoing maintenance to assisting guests and colleagues with practical questions. No day is the same, and you are an important part of the whole at the destination.

Who is First Camp?

First Camp is Northern Europe's leading camping company with over 70 destinations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Germany. We are on a strong growth journey and have developed from approximately 100 million SEK in revenue in 2016 to over 1 billion SEK in just a few years – thanks to both expansion and acquisitions.

With over 2,500 employees, we work together towards a common vision: to create the world's leading camping chain and deliver memorable experiences for our guests – every day.

What does the role entail?

As a Caretaker, you ensure that the facility functions as it should – both inside and outside. You work with ongoing maintenance, minor repairs, and practical tasks that ensure both guests and colleagues have a smooth and pleasant everyday life. The role also involves being able to quickly handle issues that arise and solve practical problems when needs arise.

Your tasks include:

  • Perform daily maintenance of premises, cabins, and common areas, including minor carpentry and repair work.

  • Manage lawn mowing, gardening, and other outdoor tasks at the destination.

  • Handle and address issues that arise, such as broken lights, minor plumbing problems, or other practical challenges.

  • Be available for guests and help them quickly resolve practical questions during their stay.

  • Follow routines and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both guests and employees.

  • Support other departments as needed – we help each other where needed to create the best possible experience.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high level of service and contribute to a positive atmosphere.

Other tasks may occur depending on the season and the needs of the business.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is practical, solution-oriented, and enjoys working in a varied role. You take responsibility, see what needs to be done, and enjoy creating order and comfort around you.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in practical maintenance work, property management, or craftsmanship.

  • The ability to solve practical problems in a calm and structured manner.

  • Good technical understanding and a willingness to learn new tasks.

  • The ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive team spirit.

  • Basic IT skills and administrative order.

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

  • Driver's license B – as you will use the destination's vehicles as needed in your work.

It is an advantage if you have experience from camping, hotels, service, or similar environments.

As a person, you are helpful, positive, and unpretentious. You enjoy seeing the results of your work and are proud to contribute to an environment that guests truly appreciate.
