Impecta Seed Trade is a Nordic brand within seeds and garden products with a focus on quality, sustainability, and long-term commitment. Since 1975, we have been the gardener's friend and natural seed source, offering a complete range of quality seeds, growing accessories, and garden products.
Our customers are located throughout the Nordic region, both via e-commerce and through approximately 300 retailers.
We currently have 45 full-time employees, and during peak season, the workforce doubles. Our values – quality, security, and development – permeate both our products and our way of working.
We are now looking for a Purchasing Manager who wants to contribute to our continued growth and develop the purchasing function to the next level.
🌱 About the role
As a Purchasing Manager at Impecta Seed Trade, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability of goods and materials that meet our high-quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on purchases at both strategic and operational levels. The role involves close collaboration with product development, logistics, finance, and management.
Location at our headquarters in Julita, with good opportunities for hybrid work.
🔍 Your main responsibilities
Strategic purchasing and planning
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in line with the company's overall goals.
- Work with forecasts for material and product needs based on sales and production plans.
- Ensure an efficient and sustainable purchasing process.
Supplier management
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers – both nationally and internationally.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms.
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance (price, quality, delivery accuracy).
- Ensure that suppliers meet quality and sustainability requirements.
Contract negotiation and cost optimization
- Be responsible for the purchasing budget and contribute to the company's profitability goals.
- Analyze purchasing costs and drive initiatives for cost savings.
Order management and follow-up
- Place orders and follow up on deliveries based on forecasts and needs analysis.
- Handle any complaints and delivery discrepancies.
- Ensure that materials and products are delivered on time and in the right quantity.
Reporting and collaboration
- Report upcoming purchases to the finance department for liquidity planning.
- Collaborate with logistics and production to optimize inventory levels and reduce capital binding.
- Contribute to the development of efficient routines and processes within the purchasing area.
Compliance and risk management
- Ensure that purchases are made in accordance with applicable legislation, internal policies, and product requirements.
- Identify risks in the supply chain (e.g., delivery delays) and develop alternative solutions.
Data analysis and performance monitoring
- Ability to manage and structure large amounts of data.
- Monitor margins, inventory levels, and trends, etc.
- Use the data to make strategic decisions.
🌼 We are looking for someone who
- Has relevant education in purchasing, logistics, finance, or equivalent.
- Has several years of experience in purchasing work – preferably within manufacturing, trade, or product companies.
- Is accustomed to working with supplier negotiations, contracts, and cost analyses.
- Is structured, analytical, and enjoys both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Has excellent skills in Excel and other Office applications.
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Holds a valid driver's license (B).
Meritorious: Experience in purchasing within the seed, cultivation, or gardening industry, as well as knowledge of sustainable supply chains.
