The Laröd Health Center and the Rydebäck Health Center are two of Helsingborg's 10 public health centers. Within the public health centers, there is currently a great collaboration to offer our patients the best possible care. The Laröd Health Center and the Rydebäck Health Center are well-staffed units. We work in interdisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care to our patients. A working method that also promotes close collaboration and a good working environment. The team consists of specialist doctors, training doctors, district nurses, nurses with specialist competence, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and secretaries. We offer child health care, medical consultations, district nurse consultations, specialist nurse consultations for allergy-asthma-COPD, diabetes, infections, lifestyle habits, vaccinations, memory clinics, and elderly care consultations as well as consultations with occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists.

The Laröd Health Center has 7,000 registered patients and 300 registered children at the associated child health center, while the Rydebäck Health Center has 7,600 registered patients and 450 registered children at the child health center.

Both health centers are conveniently located within commuting distance from Helsingborg, and you can easily reach them by bike, public transport, or car.

We jointly operate a branch in the local area where we offer drop-in services for doctors and nurses, as well as a clinic focused on health-promoting, preventive, and early interventions.

The public primary care actively participates in research, including lifestyle habits, mental health/illness, hypertension, digital working methods, etc. The Laröd Health Center is an academic health center (AVC), which means research assignments from the Center for Primary Care Research (CPF) and building bridges between the academic world and primary care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome an occupational therapist to a shared position between the Laröd Health Center and the Rydebäck Health Center.

With us, we offer you varied tasks including consultations, home visits, and group treatments. You will meet patients of all ages and have a significant degree of control over your day and schedule, as well as collaborate with other professional categories.

The occupational therapist is an important person in the team at the health center, and with us, you are the first instance for diagnosing and treating injuries to the hand, forearm, and elbow. Your work also includes tasks such as prescribing powered wheelchairs and conducting cognitive assessments planned according to the patient's needs.

At the Laröd Health Center, it also includes a role as a rehab coordinator. This role involves specific training, which we offer.

We are very positive about development, both in terms of you as an individual receiving continuous education and the opportunity to grow. We also hope that you will contribute to the development of the units over time.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement. We would also like you to have work experience in primary care. If you have knowledge of the PMO journal system, it is an advantage. We consider it meritorious if you have experience working with memory assessments.
