JOB DESCRIPTION
We at the Project and Investment Unit in the Technical Department need reinforcement in the form of a project manager with experience from construction/infrastructure projects or technical infrastructure projects.
The Technical Department currently consists of operations within water/sewage, waste management, and property. We run a project unit that carries out investment projects for these operations and other investments within the municipality, such as streets/parks.
As a project manager with us, you have primary responsibility for the assigned project and report directly to the unit manager for Project and Investment. We are currently located together with our Technical Department in Järpen. The project unit currently consists of six project managers.
As a project manager with us, you will lead the project's planning, execution, and closure according to defined goals and project directives. You will establish and follow up on project plans, timelines, resource plans, and budgets. Coordinate and motivate the project team, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clear in the project. The work involves many varied tasks, and you handle several parallel processes simultaneously. You are responsible for all project administration and planning, monitoring time, quality, and finances, and ensuring that societal requirements and regulations are considered.
Your role also involves independently leading the work from the early stages to design, procurement, through the execution phase (construction) up to final inspection and handover to the project owner/client. As a project manager, you will work together with many other stakeholders, both external and internal, such as citizens, authorities, property owners, and companies.
You are expected to continuously communicate with the project's stakeholders, including steering groups, clients, and external parties. Manage risks, deviations, and changes in the project. Follow up on the project's progress through status reports and follow-up meetings. Ensure that the project's deliveries meet established requirements and quality goals. Conduct project closure with evaluation and documentation of experiences.
As a project manager, you are also expected to contribute to the unit's strategic development. This means actively working on improvements, efficiencies, and knowledge sharing within the project unit, as well as promoting a culture of learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a relevant university degree or other education and experience that we consider equivalent.
- Experience in leading projects, preferably according to established methods such as PPS or equivalent.
- Experience from construction and infrastructure projects or technical operations.
- Knowledge of construction law and experience with the Public Procurement Act (LOU) is an advantage.
- Previous work within public operations is an advantage.

You are used to taking initiative, seeking information, and finding solutions. You are driven to lead people, create engagement, and achieve set goals with good results.
