Attacus Stål & Smide was founded in 1949 and is one of the oldest welding and metalworking companies in Jämtland. The company is established in Östersund, where they have over 3500 m2 of workshop space. Their focus is on hydropower contracts and construction metalworking contracts, but they work broadly and perform all types of workshop work, welding and metalworking, machining, industrial service, and hydraulic service.

Attacus Stål & Smide is quality and environmentally certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001, as well as certified according to the highest welding standard ISO 3834-2 and according to SS-EN 1090-1 for manufacturing and CE marking of load-bearing steel structures.

Their customers are primarily power companies, construction companies, property companies, industry, and contracting companies, but private individuals are also included. Attacus Stål & Smide operates nationwide, but most of their assignments are within Jämtland County. Attacus Stål & Smide sees its employees as the company's most important asset. Job responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to take overall responsibility for projects from contract to handover. In this role, you will plan, lead, and follow up on work with a focus on quality, economy, and customer satisfaction. You will be the company's face to the outside world and thrive in close contact with customers, consultants, and subcontractors, where long-term relationships and business acumen are central.

As a project manager, you will be part of the management group and contribute both operationally and strategically. You will lead the project group, follow up on finances and timelines, and ensure a good work environment and high delivery levels. The role also involves some travel as the company operates nationwide.

Main job responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and follow up on projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate project groups, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Be responsible for budget, purchasing, and financial follow-up
  • Participate in construction meetings, inspections, and customer meetings
  • Ensure quality, work environment, and delivery according to agreements
  • Contribute to cost calculations and bidding processes

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • Technical education in manufacturing or construction, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in work leadership or projects within construction contracts, industrial service, hydropower, welding/metalworking, or machining
  • Good familiarity with modern technical aids and digital tools

Meritorious

  • Knowledge of business and financial systems as well as Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge/experience of contract law and construction standards (ABT 06, AB 04, as well as ISO standards, SS-EN 1090-1, ISO 3834)
  • Knowledge in construction, CAD
  • Experience with quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
  • Training in welding responsibility IWS, IWE, IWT is highly meritorious
