Job Description

Do you want to help shape the future of industrial automation?
We at AFRY Advanced Automation are experts in industrial automation and are now looking for more engaged automation engineers to join our team in Stockholm. With us, you will work on technology-intensive and exciting projects where we deliver tailored solutions to both private and public clients.

Your role as an Automation Engineer
In this role, you will have a key position in all phases of the projects – from idea to commissioning. You will work closely with our clients to develop and implement automation solutions that meet their needs and requirements. Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Programming in PLC, SCADA, and DCS
  • Methodical troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
  • Documentation and quality assurance
  • Advising and providing technical support to clients

A strong network and varied assignments
You will become part of a national network of 800xA specialists working with some of Sweden's largest industrial clients. The assignments vary – from smaller system upgrades to the construction of entire factories. We offer both individual expert services and comprehensive solutions, and the work takes place both at the client’s site and in our in-house projects at the office.

Qualifications

Since you will be working on finding solutions to advanced challenges, we are looking for someone who loves to think creatively and solve problems. You thrive in collaboration with others, create engagement, and build strong relationships – while also taking responsibility and driving the work forward. We also see that you have a desire to develop and contribute to the success of both your colleagues and our clients.

  • Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
  • Many years of experience as an automation engineer and good knowledge of working with ABB's software, ABB 800xA. If you have also worked with older ABB products AC450 and MP200 as well as system upgrades, this is a merit but not a requirement.
  • Driver's license class B as travel is required in the position.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Additional Information

The application deadline is 2026-01-31. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
